Mr Kay was my patient for a period of time . Mr Kay was so special,so caring, so dedicated to his beloved family and friends. Despite the horrible travails, he maintained a sense of humor. He called me his caddy, although I had never set foot on a golf course. As enjoyment levels would permit, we had our ice cream parties as we would watch The Western Channel all nite. Mr Kay was a gentle man and a gentleman . Jack Kay was loved by his family and what a void he left but how much he gave and how much they should continue to feel loved .

I had the highest respect for Jack. You can tell the character of a person by the way he does business. After a number of deals with Jack, I never dealt with a more considerate and fair gentlemen..

I had enormous respect for Jack as a down to earth philanthropist who always placed the needs of the Jewish community at the top of his incredibly generous agenda.

Jack Kay was instrumental in the development of JINSA in the 1980s when I was Executive Director. He had an extraordinary ability to take the long view and formulate the steps to reach our goals. More than that, he was kind and pleasant and was always looking for ways to be helpful - introductions, phone calls, comments on written material - there was little one could ask that Jack wouldn't do, and do without fanfare. He was one of my first "lay leaders" in the Jewish community and set a very high bar for those who came later. The Washington Jewish community and American Jews have lost a great man.
