DIANA KRIKORIAN BROSNAN (Age 84)  
On Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at her residence in Chevy Chase, MD, after a long illness.Born in Methuen, MA, Diana was the daughter of the late Jacob Krikorian (Hagop Der Hagopian) and Anna (Kerkian) Krikorian. She is survived by her sister, Lillian Etmekjian of Newton, MA; nephew, Charles Etmekjian (Irene) of Buffalo Grove, IL; niece, Roxanne Etmekjian (Nerses Joubanian) of Newton, MA; grandnephew, John Etmekjian (Deborah); grandniece, Lauren Opila (Sky); grandnephew, Steven Joubanian; grandniece, Melanie Joubanian; and two great-grandnieces and one great-grandnephew. She is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.Diana was a retired elementary and reading teacher in the Prince George's County Public School system. She was a loving sister and aunt, and caring friend. Throughout her life though, especially in retirement, she traveled extensively, read widely and participated in the cultural life of her community. She volunteered for many worthwhile causes for education, the arts, and to aid senior citizens. She was especially cherished for the one-to-one care she gave to family, friends and individuals in need.Interment of her ashes at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA on January 21 at 11 am.Donations, in her memory, may be made to St. Mary Armenian Church, 4125 Fessenden St. NW, Washington, DC 20016, The Washington National Opera (www.kennedy-center.org) or the charity of your choice.
