L. EDGAR PRINA (Age 95)
On May 14, 2013, in Washington, DC. Dear husband of Lee Lorick Prina for 66 years; father of Lee ("Lee-Lee") L. Prina; brother of Millicent P. Maselan; and uncle of James P. Maselan. Ed Prina was a prize-winning journalist, served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and Korean War (retired as captain in USNR), and held two Syracuse University degrees. Friends may call Monday, May 20, 6 to 8 p.m., at DeVol Funeral Home, 2222 Wisconsin Ave., NW (parking opposite at 2233 Wisconsin). Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, May 21, 11 a.m., at Annunciation Church, 3810 Massachusetts Ave., NW. Donations in Ed's name may be sent to Salvation Army, Syracuse University's Maxwell School, or Washington Animal Rescue League.

My cousin Ed was one of the adults who I admired most as a child. When I was about 7 years old, he sent me a book on dolphins. This developed in me a love for dolphins. I also respected his philanthropy, intelligence, and integrity. We corresponded on and off for years. I will miss him.
