  Teresa Ileana Taboas Gaitán   (Age 86)   On February 4, 2016 of McLean, Virginia, passed away at home. Loving wife of the late Fernando Gaitán De Narváez; devoted mother of Fernando José (Susan), Alberto (Victoria), Helena Kenevan (Simon); Maria Mercedes Endres (Woody); Miguel (Patricia) and Ricardo (Heather). Sister of José Taboas (Virginia) and Manuel Taboas (Yvonne). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Andrés, Cristina, Nicole, Verónica, Taplan, Max, Lucas, Alejandra, Liliana, Nicolás and one great granddaughter, Eva. Admired universally within the family, she will be missed by many in Colombia, Lebanon, Puerto Rico, Spain and throughout the U.S. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22101.     RICHARD MARC GRIGSBY   Richard Marc Grigsby "Marc", born on July 10, 1947, departed this life on February 8, 2016 at his home in Annapolis, MD. Marc was the son of the late Richard and Lynn Grigsby, also of Annapolis, MD, and the beloved son-in-law of Buck and Doris Nelson of Bowling Green, VA. He is survived by his loving wife, Dale; his devoted son, Michael; his biological sister, Sharron Guthrie; his "other" sisters, Carolyn Nelson, Dianne Redcross, Joyce Rose, Carmita Thomas and Sharon Craig; his beloved daughter-in-law, Octava Grigsby; his grandsons, Michael Jr., Matthew and Braydon; his granddaughter, Sophia (aka "Doodlebug"); his dear aunt, Ollie Pollard; his dear friends, Phil Hatcher, Ed Lee Johnson and Mike Malburne; and a host of other friends and family. Celebration of Life services will be held at W.M. Reese & Sons Mortuary P.A., 1922 Forest Drive, Annapolis, MD 21401, on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral, interment and repass will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Stephens Baptist Church, 29346 Sparta Road, Bowling Green, VA 22427 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Flowers and/or donations to cancer research organizations would be appreciated.

GWASH, CYNTHIA CATHERINE  
    CYNTHIA CATHERINE GWASH   passed away on February 8, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Cynthia was born May 27, 1962 in Nashville, TN of Dean Jaros and Sonia Jensen Jaros. She grew up in Lexington and Louisville, KY and Basin, Wyoming. Cynthia attended the University of Wyoming at Laramie, and after graduation with Honors in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, she was employed as an Industrial Security Representative of the Defense Security Service in Seattle, WA and San Diego, CA. She was subsequently employed as a security manager with The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA. In 1990, she married Greg Gwash and they relocated from Long Beach, CA to Alexandria, VA where their two children, Jeffrey and Emily were born. In 1997, the family relocated to Bellevue, WA where Greg was employed with Boeing. Cynthia was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker, and also worked as a volunteer for the Bellevue Schools Foundation. In 2006, she and Greg retired to Prescott, AZ along with their children. Cynthia later became deeply involved in the Parent Leadership Council of Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, serving as its chairperson in 2011/12. She and her family traveled extensively in Europe, and she was especially fond of Italy. She also dearly loved the Big Island of Hawaii and visited there with family nearly every year since 2001. Cynthia is survived by her husband Greg, her children Jeffrey (Tucson) and Emily (Pittsburgh, PA), her mother Sonia Jensen of Thayne, WY and her sister Lisa Delaney of Jackson, WY. Her father predeceased her in 2012. She is also survived by her uncle Kenneth Jaros and aunt Karen Hoesch of Pittsburgh, PA, her aunt Nancy Jensen of Oak Park, IL and her cousin Gretta Hobein of Brooklyn, NY. At Cynthia''s request, there were no services. The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Canyon River Community Hospice, for their excellent support to Cynthia and her family during her last days.

  JOAN AIREY HANNIGAN   Joan Airey Hannigan, age 87, of Manassas, VA passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Novant Health Prince William Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.   She was born on April 8, 1928 in Albany, New York, the daughter of the late Henry and Emma (Womersley) Airey. She was retired from the Fairfax County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Joseph Hannigan.   She is survived by her children, Kathleen Maureen Johnston and partner Larry Trujillo; Michael Patrick Hannigan and wife Joellinda; Patricia Joan Alderman and husband James; Shannon Lee Hannigan; Tracy Lynn Hannigan and partner Crystal Wilson; Erin Dee Bruneau; brother, Norman Airey; sister, Joyce O''Donnell and husband James; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.   Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA with Pastor Ron McCormick of The Worship Center officiating. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
