I loved Uncle Ray! He had such a great sense of humor; always telling a joke; always pulling a prank. My favorite prank of his was the "hold my drink for a minute" prank. He would ask you to hold his drink and while your hands were occupied holding his drink and your own drink - he would swoop in for a hug!! I will miss his hugs!

What a great man!!!!! A great father, son, uncle, brother and friend. He also was a great citizen serving in the armed services during WWII. He was a hero. He had a good life with Gertrude and his 3 kids; Donnie, Jimmy and Joanie. I got to know my Uncle Ray very well when he and his family moved to Hemet, CA for a year, 1962 I believe. He always remembered me at Christmas with a special card. My Dad, Sidney was his brother and they were very close. You will be missed Uncle Ray. Love, Penni Acton Gerstler
