ALVIN C. STAFFORD, JR. (Age 87)
Of Port Republic, MD passed away on December 3, 2012 in Charlotte Hall, MD. Born December 17, 1924 in Barstow, MD to the late Alvin C. Stafford, Sr. and Clara May (Rawlings) Stafford. Alvin was also a lifetime member of VFW Post 8133, a member of American Legion 274, and a 23 year member of the Calvert Elks Lodge 2620. Alvin was predeceased by his wife Audrey L. Stafford. He is survived by his daughters Dolly Ann Murphy of Fayetteville, NC, Carolyn Harlow of Port Republic, MD his sons George L. Walker of California, MD, and David E. Walker of Soddy Daisy, TN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and his sister Jean Dunagan of Barstow, MD. The family will receive friends on Monday December 10, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD. Interment will take place on Tuesday December 11, 2012, 10 a.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham MD. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's, P.O.
