CARL F. KATSU  

On March 19, 2014, Carl F. Katsu, retired science teacher, passed away at his home at his home in Biglerville, PA after a period of declining health. Born August 24, 1947, in Washington, DC. Predeceased by his father, Noby Katsu and is survived by mother, Lois Katsu; brother, Geoffrey; sister, Barbara; uncle, John Katsu, former wife, Candy Gallaher; nieces and nephews, cousins, and a long list of friends. Carl Katsu was a smart loving and enigmatic man. He spent his life exploring sciences and the world. He had traveled to almost every continent and climbed mountains and traversed the seas. He is now surveying the Great Unknown. On Wednesday, March 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., a time of remembrance will be held at Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Harbaugh-Thomas Library, (the Biglerville Library) at 59 W York St., Biglerville, PA 17307. Complete obituary available at:
