DAVID B. Du MARS (Age 90)

On September 2, 2013 at his home at The Watergate in Alexandria, VA. Born in PA, he graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1941 before serving in the U.S. Army during WWII and saw action at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge, where he was awarded a Purple Heart. He pursued his career with Goodyear Tire where he retired after 40 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Anita Du Mars; children, Sandra (William) MacLauchlan, Cynthia Du Mars, and Jeffrey Du Mars; as well as a brother, Jack Du Mars; and two nephews. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 11 to 1 p.m. at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA 22302.
