On Monday, June 17, 2013, DONALD ALLEN DESPERTT of Washington, DC was called home to eternal rest. Son of Allyson Despertt and Donald Best; brother of Donnell Despertt and Daisha Despertt and Jaleesa Gresham. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, James Despertt, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Betty Black; uncles, James Despertt, Jr., Jonathan Despertt, James Best (Lucretia), Marshall Best (Cathy) and Dennis Best (Rosiland); aunts, Debra M. Lewis, Cynthia Despertt, Wanda Despertt, Dollie Best, Deborah Moore (Melvin) and Portia Banks; many cousins, great-aunts and uncles, a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Ethel Despertt and paternal uncle, Tony Best.
Family will receive friends at Peace Baptist Church, 712 - 18th St., N.E., Washington, DC on Wednesday, July 3, viewing, 10 a.m.; funeral to follow at 11 a.m. Interment Glenwood Cemetery, Lincoln Rd., N.E. Repast immediately following at the church.
