IRVIN DARIVOFF  

On May 16, 2013, Irvin Darivoff (USA, Lt. Col, Retired) of Rockville, MD passed away peacefully. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Theresa Gelles Darivoff, his children, Elaine (Rick) Melnick, Diane (Charles) Newman, Philip (Betsy) Darivoff and grandchildren, Zachary and Joshua Melnick, Jacqueline Newman, and Rachel and Sarah Darivoff. He served his county during WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. He received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Lehigh University, while still on active duty. Following his retirement from the U.S. Army in 1973, he worked for Fannie Mae until 1991. Funeral service will be held at
Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street, NW, Washington DC, Monday, May 20, 2013 at 3 p.m. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will follow at a later date. Directly following the service, the family will receive visitors at the Darivoff residence, with Shiva at 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
