JAMES H. FLYNN, JR. (Age 93)  

Passed away on June 16, 2013 of complications from a stroke. He was born on September 13, 1919 in Fall River, Massachusetts of the late James and Jane Flynn. James Jr. was the second of eleven children. He was married to the former Mary Wojtowicz, also of Fall River, who pre-deceased him in 2008.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and was stationed on the island of Saipan. After the war, he joined the civil service and worked in various offices of the Department of the Navy. James completed the last thirteen years of his career by working as an Operations Research Analyst for the U.S. Marine Corp. Upon retirement, James pursued his hobbies of amateur radio, kayaking, musical instrument building, scientific wood study, and woodworking.
James is survived by six of his siblings, his four sons and their wives - Christopher and Nancy of Herndon, Brian and Luisa of Vienna, Randall and Judith of Oakton, and John and Teresa of Birmingham, Al. - and four grandchildren (Becky, Peter, Katie, and Sofia). He will be missed by all.
Viewing will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Money and King Funeral Home on 171 West Maple Avenue in Vienna, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 8601 Wolf Trap Rd, Vienna, VA.
