James R. King of Vienna, VA entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2013. Beloved husband of Vanessa King and father of loving and devoted sons, James King, Jr. (Audrey) and Jonathan King. Also survived by five siblings, Melvin Caldwell King, Jr. (Deborah) of Pittsburgh, CA, Mablean Grigsby of Belden, MS, Dorothy Leasy (Joseph) of Belden, MS, Rev. Marlin Bennett King of Jackson, MS, and Linda Witherspoon (Carlton) of Belden MS. He is also survived by a half-sister, Bobbie McKnight (Mose) of Nashville, TN, two granddaughters, Jordyn King and Jenay King both of Laurel, MD, mother-in-law, Pinkie Miller of Natchez, MS, four sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Melvin Caldwell King and Annie Mae King, and one brother, Bobby Walter King. Services are on Saturday, March 9, 2013, viewing from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, 1830 Kirby Road, McLean, VA 22101.
