John Frederick Alexander, 50, of Raleigh died Tuesday July 17, 2012. A native of Potomac, MD, he moved to Raleigh, NC in 2000. John was a 1979 graduate of The Georgetown Preparatory High School, a 1983 graduate of University of Virginia and earned his Master's Degree from The George Washington University. He was employed for 23 years with Freddie Mac, most recently as a National Account Manager. He was formerly employed with GE Mortgage Insurance in Raleigh. John was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
Surviving are: his wife, Jennifer Lee Hightower Alexander of Raleigh; two sons, Braden and Garret of Raleigh; a daughter, Laura Katherine of Raleigh; his mother and father, Roger P. and Patricia A. Alexander of Potomac, MD; a sister and brother in law, Elizabeth Breitsameter, and husband Klaus of Frederick, MD; two nephews, Nicholas and Christian and a niece, Alexandra of Frederick, MD.
The family will receive friends Friday 11 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Timothy Episcopal Church Parlor, 4523 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh, where a requiem will follow at the church at 12 noon.
