Of Rincon, Georgia formerly of Arlington, Virginia died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc.
Lester was born in Washington DC and had lived most of his life in Northern Virginia. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War and was retired after 37 years of service as a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service. After retiring Lester and his wife Linda moved south to Georgia.
He had a passion and love for music, Lester played bass guitar in many different bands and his love for music was passed along to his family. Lester was an avid Redskins fan, enjoyed gardening, nature and loved traveling with his wife.
Survivors include his wife Linda, two daughters, Julie (Jeff) Sensabaugh of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, Stacey (Josh Eagelman) Malhoyt of Rincon, Georgia; a son, Jason (Lesley) Malhoyt of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Philip and David Malhoyt; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Empire, 6355 Rolling Road, Springfield, Virginia 22152.
