Passed away peacefully on April 22, 2013. She was born in Washburn, Wisconsin on August 7, 1921 to Remsen Marsh Bell and Mildred Madden Bell. She grew up in Tower, Minnesota, graduating from the Tower Sudan High School. She received an AA degree from Vermillion Community College and a BS from the University of Minnesota. She received a Master of Science in home economics from the University of Washington in 1948.
In 1948 she married John Gustav Moseman. They lived in Ames, Iowa and Raleigh, North Carolina before settling in Adelphi, Maryland and later in Hillandale, Maryland. They had three children, Dr. David (Sue) Moseman, Rev. Barbara (Jerry) Smith and Thomas (Lori) Moseman.
Marge taught home economics in junior and senior high schools in Prince George's County.
In addition to her activities at University United Methodist Church, she held offices in the PTA and was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. She was active in the Homemakers in Home Economics, the International Wives Club of the University of Maryland and Meals on Wheels. After her husband suffered a stroke, she was active in The Stroke Club of Montgomery County.
Since 1995 Marje has been a resident of Asbury Methodist Village. She is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 in the Guild Memorial Chapel at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heifer International or to are suggested.
