MARVIN G. RENNERT, JR.  

Marvin G. Rennert, Jr., 67, of Grasonville, MD died on December 23, 2014. Mr. Rennert passed at home after battling pancreatic cancer. In the days leading up to his death, he was surrounded by those who loved him the most and passed with his loving wife, Carol by his side.
Born August 14, 1946 in San Antonio, TX, Marvin was the only child of the late Florence and the late Marvin G. Rennert Sr., Marvin attended Pan American University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in History and later received a Master of Forensic Science from Antioch School of Law as well as a Masters Degree from Georgetown University. He served proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam war where he was a member of the Canine Special Unit. Marvin's career with the Federal Government Continued with his many years working for The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
In the years since his retirement from ATF, Marvin worked as a Forensic Consultant. This opportunity allowed him to travel the world and to live in Colombo, Sri Lanka with his wife, Carol.
Marvin will be remembered as a loving husband to Carol L. Rennert. A wonderful stepfather and father-in-law to Tamara and Patrick Shay, Cheryl and James Clark, Laura and Keith Pettit and Melissa S. Cooper. He was also a devoted grandfather to Emaleigh Pettit, Bryan Pettit, Daniel Pettit, Audrey Clark, Charleston Cooper, James Pettit, Olivia Clark, Carolaine Pettit, Matthew Pettit, and a great-grandfather to Gracie Lyn McGraw Pettit.
Marvin's life and memory will be celebrated with a Chapel Service followed by Interment at Arlington National Cemetery on June 24, 2014 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Maryland 10626 York Road Suite A Cockeysville, MD 21030
