Of Vienna, VA died peacefully on May 16, 2013, surrounded by family. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, March 9, 1928 to Vera Knowles and Adrian Jennings. At an early age, the family moved to Dallas, TX, where she attended Catholic elementary school. The family then moved to Arlington, TX. She attended Arlington High School and the University of Texas at Arlington. In her senior year of high school, Pat was elected President of the Student Body, President of the Student Council, President of the Homemaking Club and Secretary of the Senior Class. Pat was also honored with the "Fielder Award" given to the most outstanding male and female representatives of the Senior Class.
She married Jack Keilty in 1951 in Dallas, TX, and together they had seven children.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Jack of 62 years; her children, John (Kimberly), Maria (Tom), Tommy (Sue), Greg (Navy), Kevin (Liz), Carmel and Timmy (Colby); 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by a very close relative, Sister Patricia Keilty, a Carmelite Nun of Providence, Rhode Island.
The funeral service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Benedict's Catholic School, 3100 Grove Ave., Richmond, VA 23221.
