On Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at his home in Annapolis, MD with his family. Beloved husband of the late Bette Applegate, he is survived by a brother, three sons, two daughters, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, David. Richard was a Commander in the U.S. Navy and served as Vice President of Catholic University from 1969 - 1985.
Family will receive friends on Monday, April 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD 21401. Funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis, Tuesday, April 30 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.
