Susan Freeman-Taylor, 45, of Jacksonville, NC, loving wife and mother passed away on
Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Onslow Memorial Hospital after a short battle with breast cancer
. Susan was best known for her baking at the White Oak Bakery where she was one of the bakers, making her famous pumpkin roll. She was also actively involved with Boy Scout Troop 35 as the committee chair.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville. On October 10, 2013, the funeral procession will depart Jones Funeral home at 10:30 a.m. and be escorted to St. Francis Xavier Chapel on Camp Lejeune with Chaplain Lyle officiating. Service is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
She was preceded in death by her father LCDR Robert Freeman USN Ret. of Fort Washington, MD. Her survivors include her husband GySgt James Matthew Taylor USMC Ret. and sons Timothy Allyn Taylor, Zachary Thomas Taylor and Eric William Taylor; her mother Richie Freeman of Fort Washington, MD; sisters Beverly Weaver and husband John, Janet Delwiche and husband Allen; brothers Jimmy Freeman and wife Sheila, Ronnie Freeman and wife Wanda, John Freeman and wife Cecile. She also leaves her furry loved ones Callie and Tiger
