WILLARD W. BRITTAIN "Woody"  

On Friday, January 25, 2013, WILLARD "WOODY" BRITTAIN, husband of Deborah C. Brittain, father of Lindsey E. Brittain, and brother of Barbara Y. Brittain, passed away in Bonita Springs, Florida, surrounded by family and close friends. Survivors include his god-children Lutrelle Parker III, Lauren Parker, Stephen Sydnor, Jr., Kimberly Mackley Jackson, and George Goode IV; as well as many extended family members, including his uncle, John Dangerfield; his aunt, Delores Dangerfield; his mother-in-law, Elenora Carpenter; a sister-in-law, Stephanie Goode, and her husband, George; a brother-in-law, Charles Carpenter; a nephew, Stephen Goode; a niece, Carol Wells, and her husband, Adam; a grand niece, Caroline; and a grand nephew, Adam, Jr. He also leaves to praise his life other dear relatives, friends, and business associates. Services will be held Friday, February 1, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1601 13th Road South, Arlington, VA 22204; viewing 9 to 11:30 a.m.; funeral 11:30 a.m. with interment following at Pleasant Valley Memorial Cemetery, 8420 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Urban League, 120 Wall Street, New York, NY 10005.
