Momma, I miss you so much. I can't visit you or call you anymore. I love you more than you could ever acknowledge. You always said, one day I will be crying and can't stop. The day has come. I can't stop crying. The only three things that bring me out of my tears are 1)Christ had to be seized by sinners; 2) He had to die by execution/eliminated; 3) The resurrectional memories of Christ. I love you so much MOM and I always will. I will live strong and upward for you Mom, may GOD continue to bless you always and you continue to pray for us. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY LOVE YOUR BABY GIRL, DELORES

My Dear Aunt Sug;
It has taken me awhile to sit down and write this but, it must be done. You will be missed by so many people because every one loved you. The little kids loved to come and visit because they knew that they would get that special hug from you along with a piece of candy. My granddaughter (Harmony) would always say when we left from visiting you, she is such a nice lady. Everytime I think about the conversation we had on that Monday (April 4) with Mama and Aunt Elizabeth about you wanting to go home and you wanted those boots so you can get out of there because you were tired. Now I can look back and see exactly what you were talking about; you were tired of being in pain and you wanted to go to your home; a home of no more sorrow, no more pain, no more restless nights, and no more sadness. I'm just so glad that when the opportunities came that I could go and visit you or bring someone to see you that I did it because I felt so good to see you smile, talk about when your were kids and how thing were or give me a number to play; even though I never hit one. So I know now you are smiling down on all of us and saying to yourself; if they only knew what they are missing. We all are going to get to experience it one day; until then, please keep smiling down on us because we all can use that sunshine. You have gone to be with the rest of our family and I know that was a reunion that they all have been waiting for. LOVE ALWAYS & FOREVER! And I'll be (Liisten) for that number because I know one day I'm going to hit it big! GOD BLESS!

My dearest Aunt Shug, "My Partner in Training". I have loved you from as long as I can remember. I use to come and visit you just to intake the sweet smell of your home. You loved and fed me but it was not your food that filled my belly, it was your love and kindness.
You were as proud of me as my mother when I became a police officer. At the time, I thought it was because I now could serve and protect but little did I know, it was because you were now my crime-fighting partner, but my duty was to teach you to become a markswoman. We could now get the bad guys together.
I will truly miss coming inside your home at the family reunions, watching you dance, eating your good food, "our private conversations", but most of all, your heartfelt letters on the refrigerator.
I am not upset that God has called his angel home because I was privileged to be able to love and have you for as long as I did. I know you are now in heaven teaching the other angels how to clean and keep their wings pearly white. I am saddened that I did not have time to give you your thigh-high boots to walk on the clouds. You will forever shine because you are now our Guardian of Light!
Aunt Shug, stay in your own room (our private joke)! Denika Felder (Washington, DC)

Aunt Shug "our dancing matriach", you have given us so many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. From the excitement of knowing you were coming home from the city on weekends, anticipating a piece of change from you because we kept up your beautiful flowers around the house by keeping them watered. To the days of the family reunions when we would all gather around you waiting for our turn to dance with you. You are one in a million and we will never forget the impact that you made on our lives. We love and miss you.

My Dear Ant Shug! You were a beautiful woman. That I looked up to. You left a legacy of your own. You were a woman of many words I guess this is a Thomas woman trait that came from Grandma Mae that you and your sisters all inherited! You were a woman of style and grace. You amazed us all with your two step. You tore the floor up even at your age you moved and grooved. No matter the place. I'll miss hearing you and grandma talk and sometimes fuss but it was that sisterly love that's priceless that I'll miss so much. The visits we had at your home will last forever. It's the love of family that kept us all bonded together. I will miss the awe of your spirit. The love of your touch. You were time enough for us all. You had a answer for anyone that tried to tell you what to do. It's so many things Ant Shug that I'm going to miss about you. You have lived a long life and now you have earned your wings. So fly Ant Shug, fly as high as you can go. I love and miss you and it's hard to let you go. I just wanted to let you know. No more sickness, no more pain! It's our lost here on earth, but it's heavens gain. You're home now with family and friends that have passed before you. So rest in peace My Dear Ant Shug. I will forever love you.
