GEORGE THOMAS KELLEY, JR., Esq.  
Born in Lynn, MA on March 29, 1938 to Marion Evelyn Callahan and George Thomas Kelley, Sr. George passed away peacefully in Leesburg, VA on September 23, 2016 at the age of 78. George received a degree in Economics in 1959 from Boston College. He then served in the US Army as a Captain in the Air Defense Artillery. He continued to serve in that Massachusetts National Guard until 1966 as Battalion Commander of the 105 mm Field Artillery. George earned his law degree from Suffolk University while working as a special agent for the Department of Treasury. Upon graduation George accepted employment with the Department of Justice in Washington, DC where he worked as a federal prosecutor from 1970 to 1992 eventually rising to Chief of the Criminal Enforcement Section, Northeast Region of the Tax Division. George is survived by his wife Eileen Theresa Comeau Kelley, his sons Michael Kelley and Daniel Kelley, his daughters Kathleen Hofer and Christine Pittinger and his grandchildren Mary Katherine Hofer, Elizabeth Hofer, Arthur Hofer, Lydia Kelley, Quinn Kelley and Bridget Pittinger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday, October 4 at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Ashburn, Virginia at 12 noon. Friends may call on the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 3 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, VA. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the general scholarship funds of either St Johns Preparatory School in Danvers, MA or Boston College.Please share condolences with the family at: www.LoudounFuneralChapel.com
