It was a privilege to study with him in Memphis. Bill Christenberry is responsible for the way I view the world today and for renewing my sense of wonder for things around me. His passing leaves a hole in the lives of anyone who knew this gentle man.

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. May you look to God for help. He will never allow your foot to slip. God is guarding you. He is the shade at your right hand. Call on him in your distress for help and he will answer you. (Psalms 121:1-8). Your family and friends have my deepest condolences.

My condolences to the Christenberry family for whom I have fond memories during my childhood years in Greensboro, Alabama. William's photographs were phenomenal presentations of the Hale County countryside and a window on the county for people worldwide.

My sincere condolences to the family. I studied with him for several years at the Corcoran and he was kind enough to write a recommendation for me for graduate school. He was encouraging, helpful and challenging as a teacher--and a true gift to the art community. His contributions endure...

I am so glad to have known Bill and to have studied with him for 6 years at the Corcoran. His wide ranging body of art is exceptional. And his guiding eye as a teacher was a gift to his students.
Sandy, and family, you have my deepest sympathy. May he Rest In Peace.

Sandy and family, I just want you to know how much of a wonderful and inspirational person Bill was in my life in the years of studying with him at the Corcoran. I know the past few years have been hard for all of you and for Bill but there are so many memories and traditions that I hope will sustain you in dealing with the final loss of him. May these and the love of family and friends support you. I am sorry I will not be able to be at the visitation as I am showing my creative jewelry at a craft show on Saturday, but I do send a hug. All the best, Rona Eisner
