SAMUEL E. AYRES, JR.  
On December 25, 2011. Beloved husband of Mary Ayres; father of Stephen, Christopher and his wife Nicole, Zachary and Blake Ayres. He is survived by one grandson, Jason "J.P."; and parents, Samuel E. Ayres and Jane Ayres. He is also survived by two sisters, Cynthia Jerome and Donna Granahan. Friends may call at EVERLY-WHEATLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Mt. Comfort Cemetery on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. www.everlyfuneralhomes.com

Mary and boys,
It is so sad to hear of your loss. I worked with Eddie for years. He was a hard worker and loved his family. I remember Eddie telling me how it liked to jingle bells outside the house on Christmas Eve to make the kids think Santa was there. Apparently he make "hoof" prints too. However, I sure he didn't use his feet as a mold.
I'm praying for your comfort and peace at this difficult time.
