IRVIN ALLEN LOSMAN
On January 27, 2018, IRVIN ALLEN LOSMAN of Potomac, MD. Beloved husband of Kate Losman; devoted father of Eli, Benjamin (Michele Kaye), and Hannah (Andrew Sample); beloved brother of Bruce; cherished grandfather of Yatri Kaye and Asher Sample. Funeral services will be held on January 30, 2018, 11 a.m. at Temple Shalom, Chevy Chase, MD. Interment King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. Family will be observing Shiva at the residence of Kate and "Irv" starting January 30 at 6 p.m. through February 1. Contributions may be made to Kehila Chadasha Tzedekah Fund c/o Larry Frank, 2305 Eccleston St, Silver Spring, MD 20902 and/or S.O.M.E. (some.org). Arrangements by HINES-RINALDI FUNERAL HOME, LLC, under Jewish Funeral Practices Committee of Greater Washington Contract.

Ive known Irv for so many years since the Wheaton Plaza days. He and Cate were so kind when I was ill and I always looked forward to running into him in Montgomery Mall and catching up. Hell be sorely missed!! My deepest sympathies to his entire family!!!

I received Kates kind and thoughtful note today informing me of Irvs death. I grieve for my dear friend and his adoring family as I write this. We met 56 years ago, and shared a unique moment in time. Over the years we stayed in touch although our visual sightings were too few. Nevertheless, we kept each other up to date on our families, our interests, and our thoughts. I will evermore miss the sound of his voice, his laugh, and our conversations about religion and spirituality. He was an old soul with a big heart. I will never forget the time we shared. May he Rest In Peace. Sincerest condolences to his family and everyone who knew him.

I was very sad to learn of Irv's death. He was a special person to me and I will always remember the kindness of Kate and Irv to me and my late husband, Fishel. A true Tzadik is lost to us. My deepest condolences to Kate and his children on their loss.

I did not learn of Irv's passing until just after the funeral service was over when a mutual friend informed me of it. I knew Irv as a fellow merchant at Wheaton Plaza, and we had a similar interest in acoustic music. He was a very nice guy who always had a moment to say "hello", even when busy. I am very sorry that he's no longer with us, because the nice people in the world are chronically in short supply. My condolences to Kate and his family and friends. He will be missed.

Steve and I were saddened to learn of Irv's passing. Irv was a sensitive and kind person who always made time for you. I met him in home room at high school, and then we learned we spent similar weekends helping our parents in their respective businesses. Three generations of our family visited Irv and his parents at Tiara Gifts and later at Pandora.
To Kate and family, may you take comfort and cherish the memories of this very wonderful man. We hold you close in our thoughts.

I was so saddened to read of the death of Mr. Losman. As a loyal & longtime customer of the old Tiara Gift Shop and now Silver Moon, I came to enjoy my talks with Irv as we shared wonderful updates about our respective families. He was always so kind to ask about my family, especially the grandsons, and his presence will be sorely missed by so many people. Please accept the heartfelt condolences of the Holmes/Joyner/Wilson and Simmons families.

To say this comes as a shock is an understatement. Irv was a close middle and high school friend of my brother Steve. Just a couple of months ago I was at Montgomery Mall and bumped into Irv and we talked about our families for about 10 minutes. Like his parents who I knew, Irv was a sweet and gentle man. May his memory be a blessing.
