LARRY CRESS Obituary


  
Dr. LARRY WILLIAM CRESS  
On Friday June 15, 2012 Dr. Larry William Cress of Silver Spring, MD passed away after battling cancer at the age of 61. Dr. Cress was a Medical Officer and Research Scientist at the Food and Drug Administration. As a medical officer Dr. Cress worked on evaluating drugs proposed to treat or prevent the radiation injuries that would be caused by a terrorist radiological attack or nuclear device. As a research scientist he conducted research on the biological effects of radiation and electromagnetic fields from cellular telephones and power lines. Dr. Cress was preceded by his parents William and Mary Cress and is survived by brothers Michael and Gary Cress. Visitation will be held at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. and with funeral services beginning at 7 p.m. Interment will be at Parklawn Memorial Park, 12800 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD on Friday, June 22 at 11 a.m. Flowers, gifts and guest register may be found at www.hinesrinaldifuneralhome.com
