SIDNEY OSBORNE Obituary



  
SIDNEY M. OSBORNE, JR. "Sid"  
Sidney M. Osborne, Jr., 39, of Germantown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 of complications attributed to the flu. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 17, 1974, graduating from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in 1992. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University, where he worked for 13 years. He also worked for 10 years at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC and most recently at U.S. Pharmacopeia as facilities supervisor. Sidney married Victoria Campbell (Osborne) on May 11, 2007.  Sidney is survived by his devoted wife, Victoria; his daughter, Zora and stepsons, Jordan Campbell and Ian Carter; his father Sidney M. Osborne, Sr.; his mother and step-father, Renee Davis-Preston and Thomas Preston; his siblings, Alesha Knight, Arthur Davis, Jason, Justin and Stefanie Preston; his brother-in-law, Chas Knight; and 10 nieces and nephews. Condolence visits and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Osborne home, beginning Wednesday, January 29. The family has requested submissions to the "Dear Zora" keepsake being created for his daughter, which includes pictures, notes, letters and art allowing mourners to share special remembrances of her father. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Sidney M. Osborne, Jr. to First Book (www.firstbook.org/get-involve). Visitation will be held Saturday, February 1 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904. A memorial service will immediately follow.
