JOHN WILLIAM CRELLIN, SR.
On Thursday, June 23, 2011; the beloved husband of the late Marguerite Grady Crellin; devoted father of John W. Crellin, Jr. (Evelyn), Catherine Widner (David) and Mary Mundie; grandfather of Christopher Crellin, Sean Mundie (Danielle), Shannyn Hyland (John) and Sarah Widner; great-grandfather of Aaron and Teddy; brother of Raymond Crellin and the late William Crellin. Also survived by his longtime companion, Cheryl Sabol. Friends are invited to John's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Dr., Crofton, MD. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in John's name to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy., Annapolis, MD 21401. Memories and Condolences

Though John's birthday and mine were but two days apart in July, nearly twenty years separated us in age. We met in 1990, had much in common, and shared treasured moments and hours in conversation on virtually every conceivable topic.
I'll miss this fine gentleman, who was one of the most genuine human beings I've known.

We were John and Marguerite's neighbors for 10 Years in Hyattsville. They were the best neighbors you could ever want. We miss them and pray for them. May their souls rest in peace.

To the Crellin family, i would like to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of your dad. We were his neighbors in hyattsville. I remember mr. crellin with great fondness. I was in first grade when Mrs Crellin passed away and was very sad. my sister and i use to brush her hair....my parents also send condolences
