Mr Kieler would bring his family to his place in the country west of Woodstock. We were neighbors there. We always enjoyed those visits. My dad had lots of fun hunting with Mr Kieler, Joe and Richard. Our thoughts and prayers are with the famiy. Mr Kieler was the nicest man you'd ever want to meet.

Most of you who knew my Dad also knew he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. My brother Rich and I had spoke about his gravesite. He is buried under a huge poplar tree and there is also a large white oak dropping acorns nearby. There is also a huge persimmon tree loaded with fruit nearby. If there are any deer in Falls Church they will be right there with him, attracted by all the food. Can't think of a more fitting place for him. I miss you Dad. Rest in peace.

Uncle Carl was my favorite uncle. He had a charisma that drew people to him. Everyone in our family looked forward to his and Pat's visits to Dubuque. For years Uncle Carl came to hunt in the woodlands of Iowa which he loved. He loved my lasgne and black walnut cake too! Aunt Pat and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. Kieler as he will always be to me was like a second dad. Our families grew up together on Rosemary Lane. Although our move to California brought great distance between us, our families always had a special bond. I'm going to eat a bowl of ice cream after dinner tonight and remember all the wonderful times. Peace be with you. Love Sarah Janigian

I will always remember Uncle Carl's great sense of humor and hardy laugh. He was always a pleasure to see and visit with in the way to few times we were together. My sincere sympathy to all of his family and friends as he will truly be missed.

Carl had a very positive influence on my life. The time we spent together on the water and in the field are memories I cherish. Through his example, he truely taught me what it was to be an outdoorsman. I will miss him. In me eyes and the eyes of so many, he was a great man. God bless him.
