My sincerest sympathy to Philip's Family. I enjoyed working with Phil for many years fighting for workers' rights through the Guild at the Library of Congress. May knowing that his life made a significant difference in this world bring you comfort at this hour of sadness.

A generation of members of St. Mark Orthodox Church in Bethesda fondly remembers Phil's hospitable Texaness, including his special chile. As his roommate in Alexandria in the 1980s I am especially in debt for his kindness. May his memory be eternal!
