I met Siobhan when we were in college. We used to give her rides to our church. She was kind and wonderful and if I had known she was sick, I would have tried harder to be her friend. I almost cried when I saw her being ordained. It was a wonderful day and it was the last time I saw her. I don't remember but mom said that she visited me in the hospital. I am glad I can finally write something on here. It took me a long time to have the courage to do so.

My memories of Siobhan will always and forever be cherished. She was a light that always shined bright wherever she went. I remember the day when Siobhan and my daughter Jen gave each other broken heart friendship necklaces, that when you put the hearts together - they made one heart. They were such good friends always laughing and having fun together.
I didn't realize until today that God called her home on the same day as he called my dear Mom (Feb 4, 2019). So now there are two angels to watch over us with Feb 4 anniversaries. God Bless them both.

Friends of the Pattersons,
During the visitation, one (or more) of you handed Siobhan's mother, Joan Patterson?, a beautiful set of stars. It was a long and intense evening, and she's asked me to help her identify who gave them the gift. If you know who it was, please send a message to me ([email protected]) or post a note to Siobhan's Stars on Facebook, for a good and proper "thank you!" Shine on,

I found myself thinking of Siobhan the other day, wishing I could talk to her about life in the twelve years since I've seen her. Heaven has gained her beautiful presence, but this world is bereft. All my sympathies to the Patterson family.

Siobhan was a dear friend in my childhood and I am not surprised to find that she grew into a wonderful Christian woman. I am deeply grieved to learn of her passing, but I am comforted with the great hope that she has taken her place among the Saints where sickness, sighing and grief are no more. May her memory be eternal.

May Shiobhan rest in peace and Glory with her Lord and Saviour. She was a true servant of happiness and love and as a mother, will always be a treasure to me. She was loving and kind to my kids when they served at Peterkin. May her spirit shine in all of us.

Nawab's Restaurant in Huntington was one of Siobhan's favorite places. We can still hear her say something like, 'I believe Nawab is calling my name'. Well, in honor of our dear friend, we decided it was fitting to eat there today. Much love,

I called Siobhan once when our daughter was really angry with her Catholic school not letting her take communion. She made time for Emma right away and found the words and the patience to help her grasp the whole idea as well as she could. It was a perfect example of this amazing gift she shared. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time. God's peace.

How can we understand the world without her love and compassion? A remarkably insightful messenger of "the word" who needed not the template; who spoke from the heart. She spoke glibly about her illness ( I am still in shock.) We need more Siobhans in this world. Her short time on this earth truly mattered! Sending my prayers for the Patterson family.

Rest in peace and rise in Glory Siobhan!
I remember you were the class of 06 and I was in 05 at Seabury. Always enjoyed your humor and prospective. You will be missed and the Church and the world is too soon missing your ministry.

I will never forget Siobhan and her infectious smile and laugh. She brought sunshine wherever she was no matter what was going on. Girlscout events were a blast whenever she was there. She was always willing to help the younger girls and any one else who needed it. My daughter and I will always cherish the memories that we have with Siobhan. My heart and prayers go out to Joan, Bob and the entire family for their loss. God Bless you all. If there is anything our family can do for you... please let us know.

We went together to Seattle with another class mate and had a wonderful time learning about parishes there, one of which was led by the future Bishop of Chicago, Jeff Lee. We all agreed when there that he would be a bishop some day. I got several pictures of Siobha'n including one in front of a Celtic heritage store in Seattle.
We are all stunned and saddened by her death. May she now be dancing with the angels in heaven, in light perpetual, and with healing in eternal light. And may God comfort those who grieve her loss, so early.
She was a wise woman, a good priest, and a fierce thinker.
