I am deeply sadden to learn of the passing of your mother. We enjoyed her visits to California and loved hearing stories from her and Roger whenever she would come over. May God's peace comfort you and your family during this difficult time.

Phyllis was a woman of excellence who was extremely generous with her gifts and talents. She enriched my life and my family's immensely in so many ways and I will always treasure the many fond memories of our friendship over 30 years. May her legacy of a strong faith and confidence in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ rest upon her family. She has run a good race and fought a good fight. Now rest in peace, Dear Phyllis.

To the family of Mrs. Young, know that in your time of sorrow, she has started a journey to everlasting joy and happiness.Although I did not know her personally, judging by the legacy she has left us with, I am sure heaven is pleased to have her as an Angel.

To the daughters and family of Phyllis, cherrish the memories and I know you have many stories of her life to last a lifetime and to pass on to the next generation. She was a good friend to my sister Sandra and I loved hearing her stories. RIP Phyllis

As we say goodbye to our dearest Auntie, we look fondly on the great achievements of a noble and most gracious lady. She is my aunt, godmother, soror and friend. You are at peace and we are blessed to have been there with you until the very end. Rosie and Beverly our cousins, God is with you always and so is your Mom.

I am so saddened to learn of Soror Phyllis' passing. She was such a dedicated visionary, a bulwark in Alpha Kappa Alpha, and a shining example of service and commitment to so many of us. We were nurtured by her indominable spirit and determination. She was a fighter on so many fronts.

Her mother and my parents were co-workers in the D.C. Public School System for years, so she knew of me before I knew her. She took so many of the younger generation just like her own children. I fondly remember the messages I'd get -- "how are you doing?" or messages to all of us to DO something, to get involved.

To her daughters Cat and Beverly, and her family, we send our love and continuing prayers for comfort, clarity and fond memories to sustain you. Celebrate your guardian angel!
