CRATE GRINDELLA A. BARKETT CRATE At the age of 86, quietly passed away at her daughter''s home in Reston, VA surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 20, 2010. She is predeceased by her husband of over 38 years Donald A. Crate, Sr.; her granddaughter, Michelle Grindella Crate; her brother Sarkis Barkett; and her sister Emiline Barkett Adams. She was the loving mother of six children and their families, Donna C. Tschiffely (Ron Guberman) of Reston, VA, Donald A. (MaryLou) Crate, Jr. of Fairfax, VA, Elisabeth A. Hoffman (Don Hoffman) of Nokesville, VA, Jaime (Jean) J. Crate of Marietta, GA, Mary L. Crate of Oakton, VA and Tom (Paula) Crate of Lake Arrowhead, CA; including 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The oldest of 12, she is survived by nine brothers and sisters, over 35 nieces and nephews located around the country. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 26 at the Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 27, at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church, 7164 Alaska Ave., Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. George Maronite Church, Six Lebanon Terrace, Uniontown, PA 15401.
