William Luehrs Obituary


WILLIAM JOHN LUEHRS, III  
William John Luehrs, III, US Army Veteran, son of the late William John Luehrs, Jr. and Julia Alberta Luehrs, died on Saturday, July 30, 2011 in Paris, France while on business. William Luehrs was Vice President of Middle East, Africa division for Fisher Controls. He had a flair for life and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. As his family, we will miss his leadership, his words of encouragement, his warm laugh, and just his presence. Even though we will miss him we take great comfort in knowing that he is in a truly better place. William Luehrs is survived by his four sons. Father of William John Luehrs, IV and his wife Hilda Susana Luehrs of Roswell, GA; Jason Allen Luehrs and his wife Alana Ribas Luehrs of Huntsville, AL; James Corey Luehrs and his wife Carolyn Louise Spears Luehrs of Roswell, GA; and Jon Luehrs of Stone Mountain, GA, Grandfather of William Joseph and Nathan James Luehrs and brother to James D Luehrs of Reston, VA and Linda Hannam of Rockville, MD. His Funeral and Burial Service will be held on Monday, August 8 at 11 a.m. at Parklawn Cemetery, Rockville, MD. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Luehrs' family request donations be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness (Northern Virginia Chapter), 7168 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 100, Columbia, Maryland 21046-3256, http://www.blindness.org/ and the American Cancer Society, http://www.cancer.org.

I was also very shocked to find out about Bill's death. He was the sweetest, funniest man who always made the room light up by his presence. His words of encouragement will always stay with me. He will be missed a lot.

It was a HUGE SHOCK to learn f Bill's Death from our friend Bharat Dalal on July 30th!! Bill has been a friend for 20yrs both in business and personally. Bill was always fun to be with; focused on making a difference; and creating value for our Customers. he has left all of us too soon, but we all know he made an impact in a postive fashion on each of us!
Deepest sympathies to the family. a wonderfl celebration of Bill's life on Monday in Rockville, MD.

It was real shocking and devastating news for me.
In fact on last Wed (27th July) before leaving, he stopped by to my desk, informing that he is going for long trip. I never imagined this would have been real long trip of his life.
