To all who have signed Mom's guestbook, thank you for your heartfelt messages. It is such a comfort to be reminded of how Mom touched the lives of so many. Love to all of you.

Fred and Lass will always remain in our hearts! They were the best friends and neighbors a young couple could have in their lives. Lass would love to come over and watch our youngest daughter while my husband took our oldest to preschool. Our children to this day remember them fondly and they are now in their early 20's. Rest easy Lass and thank you for your friendship. You and the Chief can now reunite. God bless both of you and may your loved ones keep you close and remember the fond memories.

My deepest sympathies to your Family. Steven and Robert have shared many fond memories of their times with Grandmother Lass. The home with the picture window to the yard, all the squirrels and all the Family Holiday times. They are heart broken as I know you are.
Prayers for everyone.

Strick was my fathers first cousins wife. My father, Jerry Borrell and his first cousin, Fred McClintock were both born in 1917 and lived near each other in Havre de Grace, MD. They were as close as brothers. Cuz Fred, was a printer for The Republican and my father , also known as Cuz was a printer for the competing paper, the Harford Democrat. Cuz Fred married his best friend and nurse and had 3 children. My father was married and had 3 children...the small town newspapers did not pay well. A job at Government Printing Office came open...a government job in Washington D.C. Cuz Fred got a job there and moved to Silver Spring MD. He called my father to say that GPO was still hiring. My father applied and got a job! So, our family moved within 4 or 5 blocks from the McClintocks. The McClintocks had a 4th child named Resa. I was a young child, but I remember my mother buying pink bubble gum cigars for the baby shower. My father and Cuz Fred continued to play golf, commute to work, and be almost like brothers till his death in 1977 when he was only 60 of liver cancer. Cuz Fred died in 2006. My mother kept in touch with Lass by phone and walking from Goodhill where she lived to Holdridge where Lasslived. My mother died 4/13/2016. She was almost 101!!! All these people were loving, giving, and were part of a mutual admiration society!!! My condolences to my cousins...Tim, Tam, and Resa and their families...
