Dear Uncle Brendan, and the families of Dan, Mary, David and Janet with a sadden heart I offer my deepest sympathies. Aunt Betty was a much loved member of this family who will be missed very much. I wish for you peace and comfort in the coming days. I know I have so many fond memories and will call upon them often. My love to the whole Powers family.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Powers' passing. She was like a second mom to me growing up, since I spent so much time at the Powers house hanging around with Dan. She was always very welcoming, witty, inquisitive, and engaging in conversation. A really cool lady, and she will be missed by all that knew her. My prayers are with Mr. Powers, Dan, Mary, David, and Janet and the rest of the extended family. May god bless you all and may you have peace knowing that Betty left an indelible mark on this world - of goodness and positivity - and she is in heaven now and at peace with our Lord. God bless you all!

All the Drake family sends prayers and condolences to you. Betty was the best of friends who delighted family and friends with her sense of humor and kept us laughing. We had so many wonderful times together. Every Christmas I'll be thinking of her as I find the wooden heart ornament that says, "Someone in Maryland Loves You". She was a loving wife, mother and friend. She will always be remembered with love. Audrey Drake

Memories are one place we can visit those we've lost. Since memories are portable, we can take our loved ones with us anywhere anytime. May the God of all comfort and the love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. My sincere condolences to the family.

I remember when Betty and Brendan took Maggie and me to the Washington Zoo, it was my first trip to the zoo.

My family joins me in mourning the loss of a very dear friend. Betty has left a lingering memory in me of a home where the door was always open, how she enjoyed my visiting family, her joy at finding intriguing books, her love of afternoon teas, and her deep love for Brendan and her family. She was a good person and kind. She had compassion and was happy when surrounded by friends. She will always be missed. Now at peace and without pain she is loved.
