MARY MELISSA ROGERS (Age 89)
On December 19, 2017 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late James Leroy Rogers, Jr.; mother of James (Christine) Rogers, Timothy (Mary Agnes) Rogers, Mary Ann (Gary) Katski, Thomas (Elizabeth) Rogers and Elizabeth (Mark) Anderson; sister of Joan Horner. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Church of the Resurrection, 3315 Greencastle Rd., Burtonsville, MD on Thursday, December 28 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Mrs. Rogers was like a second Mom to me in high school when my Mom was sick. She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed. My love and prayers go out to my dear friend Liz and all of the family at this difficult time. May peace find you all.
