Del, I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family. It is so difficult to lose such a loved member of your family. I know the Lynch kids all thought so highly of Mr. Hannigan. They have coped with the loss of their father. I send heartfelt love and prayers to you and your family. So sorry I could not come last night.

Coach Hannigan - what a great coach and mentor. He had the patience of a saint for our rag tag HPHS hockey team. Amazing - he made us competitive.
Great family man! He will be missed. Condolescences Tim, Kathy and Pat.

Enthusiasm, patience and love. By his example, these are the virtues Coach Hannigan taught us on the High Point Hockey team. My sincerest condolences to the Hannigan Family.

With High Point Hockey, Coach Hannigan took players of any skill level. Many, like me in 1980, were new to the game. Because of that, his coaching skill wasn't accurately reflected in the standings. It is reflected instead in the love that his players continue to have for the game and in the teammate friendships that became lifelong friendships.

Tom was a heck of a good guy! I'm proud to say as his oldest son that he played a huge role in shaping the person that I am today (Go Terps!). Many thanks to everyone who supported Tom throughout his life and especially over the past 4 years as he battled health issues with grace and resilience (many thanks to Arden Courts Memory Care where he lived since May 2014). I love my father very much and will miss him greatly. To borrow from an Irish source May the road rise to meet you; May the wind be always at your back; May the sun shine warm upon your face; May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again; May God hold you in the palm of his hand. Love always, Tim Hannigan
