Claire Whitney of Alexandria, VA, died on February 5, 2014 at the age of 65 after a long illness. She was born in Englewood, NJ to Helen and Burke Whitney on November 8, 1948. Claire graduated from Michigan State University and the Catholic University School of Law, and had a long and successful career with the U.S. Justice Department, recently retiring as Senior Counsel in the Environmental Crimes Section. Surviving are her sister Carol and brother-in-law Michael Gallogly of Richmond, VA, her beloved nephew Owen Gallogly of Atlanta, GA, and many dear relatives and friends. Memorial services at a later date. Donations in her memory to Coastal Center For Developmental Services, Inc. P.O. Box 13607, Savannah, GA, 31416.
