On Friday, November 24, 2012. Of Washington D.C. Loving son of Arlene Jacobs and the late Saul Jacobs (Lt. Col. USAF); brother of Steve Jacobs (Cindy) and Bobbie Burkley (Rich); uncle of Ryan, Kirby, Ethan and Olivia. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 West Braddock Road Alexandria, VA. Flowers and a guest register may be found at www.everlyfuneralhomes.com

I love you Edd. You were one of the most warmhearted people I ever knew. I enjoyed our conversations more that you probably realized. Like Al said, your encyclopedic knowledge (without the aid of a computer) was mind blowing, and I learned so much from you. This town will never be the same, and we're a whole lot richer for having known you. Our conversations rarely ended "on time," but I feel incredible sadness that the phone won't ring and I won't see you again. Hope to see you on the other side Edd! God bless Ollie and Bruce for being there for you, and condolences to your wonderful mother.

To my dear friend, Grampa Edd. I will miss you until we meet again, in front of the big concert stage in the sky! I am sorry when I made you cry that time when I got mad at you. You know I didn't ever mean to, and I'm happy that you made me a wiser man, and for every fact you laid on me baby! You were the ultimate rock and roll encyclopedia Edd! You made everyone your friend and I learned a lot from your generosity to strangers. A million memories, way too many to list will stay with all of us from the ''club". Your club Edd.
