JONATHAN WALKER Obituary
JONATHAN THOMAS WALKER
Formerly of Crofton, Maryland, passed away on February 23,2013 in Orlando, Florida. "Jack" was born in Washington, DC. on May 2, 1919 to Marie Carhart Walker and Shipley Benson Walker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy White Walker and his daughter, Dorothy "Susie" Felts. Jack served in the Navy during World War II, farmed in Mitchellville, Maryland, and was a bookkeeper for many years. He was a lifelong member of the Washington Christadelphian Ecclesia. He leaves daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Ronald Fenn of Orlando, son, Raymond of Glen Burnie; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He leaves a brother, Martin Walker, and sister Carolyn Duley. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. Jack will be buried along side his wife and daughter in the Lakemont Cemetery in Davidsonville. As one of his many nephews and nieces in Mitchellville, Maryland, I fondly remember the birthday parties, church camp-outs, and the time when my mother was ill and he and Aunt Dorothy took me in for two weeks. I also remember with great joy when he and Aunt Dorothy came and stayed with our family for several days at a rental cottage in Rehoboth, Delaware. They set out to find the house they'd honey-mooned in decades earlier, and managed to their delight to locate it. He is now in God's embrace, already in the Kingdom with his beloved Dorothy and Suzy.
