RONALD E. SPRINGS "Ron"  

Born November 4, 1956 in Williamsburg, Virginia to Willie Roscoe and Ethelyn Springs and passed away May 12, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Graduate of Ohio State University where he played for the Buckeyes. He played eight seasons in the NFL, for the Dallas Cowboys from 1979 - 1984, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1985 - 1986. Survived by his wife, Adriane Springs; mother, Ethelyn Springs; children, Shawn A. Springs, Ayra C. Springs-Foster and husband Je'kel and Ashley V. Springs; brothers, Roscoe Springs, Horace (Otis) Smith; sister, Ethelyn L. Springs; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. A wake will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday with Funeral services at 10 a.m. at Covenant Church, 2644 E. Trinity Mills, Carrollton, Texas.
