ANNA KRASON Obituary

ANNA JONSDOTTIR KRASON
Died unexpectedly on February 11, 2013. She was Icelandic by birth and a consummate wife and partner to her husband, William, a United States Foreign Service Officer and a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters, Deborah and Christine. Anna was a true Viking in spirit who lived a full and amazing life that included a breadth and depth of experiences, accomplishments and service to others. She was a gracious diplomat, who spoke several languages, a fabulous hostess and an outstanding bookkeeper. She served as a Gray Lady, writing letters home for soldiers in the hospital and worked in a Leper Clinic in Karachi, Pakistan in the 1960's. She was as beautiful outside as was inside. Anna gave without reason and cared without expectation. She was an inspiration to all, touched everyone she met and is beloved by many. Services will be announced.

I loved her. She was one of my mothers dearest friends. I knew her for 40 years. I wish I had spoken with you again after my parents died in 2009. We had wonderful memories of shared times at the embassy and so many parties and times you came over to our house. My sister once babysat your children. I hope you are laughing with my parents and Mrs Colot.

Anna, I never met you, but I know and love your dear daughter Deborah. It's apparent where much of her beauty, intelligence, strength and compassion came from. You must have been just amazing. So, thank you for giving us Deborah. We will try to take good care of her.

Mummy, I miss you so much. You were and still are a fabulous mother and role model. I was truly blessed that you were my mother. I will always miss you and hold you in my heart...your absence leaves a heartbreaking void for not only me, but many others, especially your sister Ragna. I hope you are with Amma and Afi, Dad and Chris, and Hanna and Nonni. Know I very deeply I love you.
