ARTHUR BARBASH  

Resident of the Willows in Westborough, MA; formerly of Mashpee, MA and Framingham, MA passed away on December 14, 2012 at the age of 84; surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 12, 1928, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Laura (Tischler) Barbash.
 
Arthur was a graduate of Boston University, earning his BS in Business Administration in 1951, graduating cum laude. Mr. Barbash proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He spent over 50 years in sales in the vinyl coated fabrics industry, starting his own business in 1978, Barbash Associates Inc. His family was his world; his grandchildren were his joy, taking pride in every accomplishment of every one of them. He was an avid reader, a lover of history and a true Boston sports fan.
 
Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Farber) Barbash. Devoted father of Barry and Karen S. Barbash of Potomac, Maryland, Steven and Cindy Barbash of Shrewsbury, MA, David and Alyse Barbash of Middleton, MA, Lawrence and Jane Barbash of Shrewsbury, MA and the late Cheryl Ann Barbash; loving brother of the late Edith and Shirley Barbash; cherished Papa of Andrew, Karen N., Daniel, Evan, Chad, Julie, Lindsay, Benjamin, Noah and Max.
 
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Congregation B'nai Shalom, 117 E. Main St, Westborough, MA at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA. A memorial gathering will be held immediately following interment at Mt. Pleasant Country Club, 369 Cross Street, Boylston, MA 01505. Memorial observance will be held Wednesday at the home of Barry and Karen S. Barbash from 7:30 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the New England Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115 or to the Haven from Hunger, 71 Wallis Street, Peabody, MA 01960.
