She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, son-in-law, Hal Henegar; one granddaughter, other relatives and many friends and caregivers. She was a much loved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Betty was born and raised in Washington, DC and remained in the area throughout her life. At a very young age, she showed a tremendous "gift" for painting and the fine arts. She was also a talented decorator, gardener, seamstress and cook. She was an incomparable homemaker. She always looked her very loveliest when she left her home having a flair for styling her hair, clothing and accessories. Betty enjoyed and was an excellent card and board game player. She loved to read non-fiction books and reference books, vowing to learn something new every day. She had a smart, sharp, inquisitive mind until the end of her life. She adored animals and was generous to many charities. She was a true patriot and loved her country very much. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the offices of Drs. Dotson and Irwin, Drs. Khosravi and Latif, Home Instead Senior Care of Manassas, dear Fran and Sharon, Prince William Hospital Outpatient Infusion Center, Gainesville Health and Rehab, LivinRite Home Health Services, all pharmacy staff Giant Gateway Center and Capital Caring Hospice. Private services will be held. If desired, donations in Betty's memory may be made to Medical Missionaries, 9590 Surveyor Court, Manassas, VA 20110. To those who loved her dearly and those touched by her beautiful spirit, she will never be forgotten.
