BRUCE C. CONGER (Age 74)  

On Monday, November 5, 2012, at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. Beloved husband of Lucinda Dickinson Conger. He is survived by his in-laws: Barbara Conger, Cathy Conger, Phil and Ellen Dickinson, Ann M. Dickinson, Andrew and Marie Dickinson, other relatives and friends. His brothers, William and Ben, predeceased him.
Bruce was retired from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, where he worked in the Budget Office. He was a long-time volunteer at the Washington National Cathedral. He also served as President of the Westmoreland (Bethesda, MD) Citizens Association. In retirement, he volunteered at Sibley Hospital and the Kreeger Museum. For more than 30 years, Bruce and his wife vacationed on Martha's Vineyard.
A memorial service will be held at the Washington National Cathedral in the Bethlehem Chapel on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. A reception at home will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vineyard Conservation Society, P.O. Box 2189, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.
