BRUCE JAY LIPSTEIN
Beloved partner of Dr. David I.
Tossman, died on Thursday, May 10, 2012 after a courageous fight against cancer. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nanette Lipstein, and is survived by brothers, David (Ann) and Steven (Susan); and sister, Carol Gaines (Don). Bruce adored his seven nieces and nephews, Amy, Brian, Greg, Ross, Kate, Andrew and Danielle. He found constant comfort in the company of their dog Buddy.
A native of Wilmington, DE, Bruce graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School,
Northwestern University and The George Washington University School of Law. He was a founding partner of the law firm, Noble and Lipstein. His law practice spanned more than three decades and served countless clients who are among the most vulnerable in our community-the elderly who require legal guardianship.
Bruce may be best remembered as a lifelong friend who was always there to help someone in need. A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, he will go down in history as the best Phillies manager who never was.
Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson Lane, Baltimore, MD 21208 on Sunday, May 13 at 10 a.m. Interment Beth Emeth Memorial Park - Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger at
mazon.org/donate/. The meal of condolence will follow at friends of the family in Wilmington at 2612 Tonbridge Drive. The family will host Shiva services on Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. at 14624 Drum Hill Court, N. Potomac, MD.
