CAMILLA CROMWELL ANDERSON (Age 84)  

Born December 19, 1927, died in Newport on November 16, 2012. Predeceased by parents Oliver E. Cromwell (Switzerland & PA); Katharine D Cromwell (New York City); husband COL(R) Charles L Anderson (IN), brother Oliver E Cromwell (PA), sister Sheila Emmet (New York City and Newport RI) and son Eric L Anderson (IN). Survived by children Nicholas T (FL), Carla D (FL), Karen Lloyd and husband James (VA), David L and wife Nataliya (IL), Christina C (RI), and Amanda L. and husband Ed Mueller (NH), daughter-in-law Melinda; grandchildren Jeremy, Eva Ives, Eric Ives, Anne Louise,Elizabeth, Charles, and Amanda Carolina.
Born in Paris France and lived primarily in New York City with intermittent periods in Narragansett, Newport, and Bermuda. Attended Sacred Heart Academy in Suffern, NY, and Barnard College. Met her husband on the polo grounds at Ft Hamilton NY after WWII. Supported her career Army husband on his tours throughout the US, Japan, France and Germany. Upon his retirement to Indiana in 1972, Camilla established Touchstone Kennels, breeding Gordon Setters for over 20 years. Member and officer, and also AKC delegate from Muncie Kennel Club for many years, she was recognized by the Gordon Setter Club of America in 2012 for her contributions to the breed.
Camilla was a lifelong lover of dogs, horses, books, travel, art, literature, tennis, the beach, and all things British. She instilled in all of her children her curiosity about life and the importance of living it to its fullest.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Camilla's life' will be held at New York Yacht Club, Wellington Avenue, Newport on November 23, 2012 from 3 to 6 p.m. Burial and funeral will be at Arlington National Cemetery
