I just met Mr Norton this year at one of the NortonNet luncheons. I truly appreciate his passion to extend help in the transition of the military to the corporate world. His legacy lives on with the community he created and nutured. Thank you!

I met Carl through a mutual acquaintance as I was transitioning from government to the private sector. Carl was a great help and we became friends. I admired him greatly and valued his advice and insights. I'll miss him.

Carl created community for me and the other men and women of NortonNet. In the midst of my unemployment, meeting there, at the restaurant, lifted my spirits. I will remember those times; I will remember the community he created, by way of NortonNet.

The funny thing was, I really did not expect to find *community* within *unemployment*! But I did! And when you're struggling with unemployment, and the fears and anxieties that it brings, it's wonderful to go to a place that makes you feel like you have what it takes.

Rest in peace, my friend; I am a better man, because of the contributions you have made in my life. I am not the only one who can say that; there are many men and women who can say the same thing!

Very respectfully,

March 29, 2010

My warmest condolences to the family.

I am very sorry to hear about Carl's passing. I go back to 1980 with him when I came to work at DIA. He did a lot for me over the years. I will miss him very much.

Family & Friends of Carl,
My heartfelt sympathy on the passing of my dear friend and respected leader who built a wonderful personal and professional life after being orphaned at a young age. Carl brought myself and many other business professionals together through the NortonNet Roundtable (aka Intelligence Roundtable) . . . which I have been a member of for well over 12 years. Thanks to Carl and the opportunities offered through this group many people have better quality of lives today. Thank you to his wife and family for sharing such a fine man with all of us.

My branch of government, The Supreme Court of the United States, has been the beneficiary of what I have learned from Carl. May you rest in eternal peace.

Most Sincerely,
Wilma M. Grant
