CHARLES EDWARD HINTON, JR.  
"Chuck"  

Died, peacefully, at his home in the District, January 27, 2013. The last Senator to hit .300 and founder of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association. Chuck also coached baseball at Howard University and worked for the Department of Recreation. Author of "My Time At Bat," Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Irma Macklin Hinton; and their three children, Charles Edward Hinton III, Kimberly Stewart and Tiffany Salaberrios. Predeceased by daughter, Jonquil Branch Hawkins. His funeral is Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. Viewing at 9:30 a.m. with tributes at 10:15 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, MD 20785. Donations to MPBPAA in his honor. Arrangements by WH Bacon.
